ARNAV PATEL
Arnav is a Course 2 Junior minoring in energy studies and very passionate about sustainbility issues. He is a member of MIT Mock Trial, Club Tennis, and MIT Climate Action Team. He is a brother of Kappa Sigma and floor representative of Maseeh 2. Arnav is super excited to engage in a challenging project that leads to some cool yo-yos and a team that works well together!
LAURA HUANG
Laura is a Course 2 Junior who loves sustainable food and spending time outdoors. She is an exec member of Club Volleyball, SWE and CodeIt. Laura is pumped to learn more about manufacturing to make it more sustainable and work with an awesome team!
ANTHONY TROUPPE
Anthony is a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering. He currently UROP’s with the GridEdge Solar research group, striving to bring high-throughput, roll-to-roll solar cell manufacturing to reality. He is a member of Phi Sigma Kappa and enjoys spending his time working on side projects and hanging out with friends. Anthony looks forward to 2.008 and the collaborative learning the class is sure to bring!
SHEILA KENNEDY-MOORE
Sheila is a Course 2 Junior minoring in environment and sustainability. She loves running and spending time outside. She is part of the MIT Outing Club, AXO and DT. She is excited to work with this team to create an amazing yo-yo design!
SACHIN THAPA
Sachin is currently a junior at MIT in the Mechanical Engineering department. He is also pursuing a minor in Energy studies. His academic interests include mechanical design, product design and manufacturing, controls, and electric cars. He is also a big advocate for the use of renewable energy.
Outside of classes, he likes to play guitar and write romantic stories. Fun Fact: He started playing cricket even before he joined kindergarten. For 2.008, he hopes to design some sleek yo-yos and learn the basics of manufacturing.
SAHARA VILLARREAL
Sahara is a Course 2 senior who works as a shop monitor at the Mars Lab and loves to make art in her ACT classes. She hosts a radio show on WMBR in addition to forming part of WMBR management as the Membership Director. Sahara is excited to hone her machining skills and make her team’s designs a reality.
